One almost feels sorry

Good grief! The nuptials between Prince Charles and that woman, are sliding with impressive velocity further and further toward what must be the greatest organisational fiasco of recent times.

One could almost, please note I only say almost here, feel sorry for the guy, he has waited over 30 years for this day to become possible and as it approaches it becomes more and more of a disaster. He has a mother who considers her son's happiness well behind that of her duty, a father who doesn't warrant a mention and lackeys and advisors who seem incapable of of organising a child's birthday party and McDonald's, let alone an event that, in theory at least, will be seen throughout the world. This is of course only theoretical given that the television viewing figures in reality may, if he is lucky, hit three! One wonders if the change of date is less to do with respect for the Pope than it has to do with forcing the viewing public figures closer to five. This questionable coupling is just not going to be the attraction of one I recall in the early 80's.

Almost daily there is another embarrassment or disaster, the most recent is nothing less than intruders gaining entry to Windsor Castle, not but a few days from the, er.... happy event! Presumably 'heads will roll' somewhere within the security staff but don't count on it, let's face it, this is hardly a first is it?

Forgive me my cynicism and more so, forgive the bitch in me rearing it's ugly head but one is tempted to utter quietly here the phrase 'what comes round goes round'. I can't help but feel that this fool, who will one day God help us be King, is responsible at least in part, for making one lady's life a misery. Sure, he had his duties, his mother to contend with and protocols to adhere too but is the guy completely spineless, did anyone actually put a loaded gun to his head and make him marry Diana and if they did, did they also dictate he behaved in the fashion he did 'post marriage'.

I know, I know, 'people in glass houses' and all of that but come on Charlie boy, get a grip eh and sort it out....sorry, but right now the mere thought of a 'King Charles' and of this debacle is so utterly appalling it is nothing short of laughable.
