Spring has sprung

Comforting isn't it, when things return to normal! Not.

Of what normality do I speak, why, I am British, the weather of course. Spring, as we know it, has most definitely sprung over this past weekend and has hastened it's arrival this morning. Note please that I say 'as we know it', for rain has poured down with boring monotony, the wind has howled and the river that runs through the field behind us here, has burst it's banks. Drenched lambs, looking folorn, have been forced onto slightly higher ground, calves are huddled against what hedges they can find for shelter and every daffodil and tulip that had the audacity to poke it's pretty head above ground is flattened.

Yup....spring as we know it is certainly very much in evidence!
