I have wheels!

Well I have my car back at last.

The garage left it until the 11th hour so I could stress myself out about how I was going to get to work tomorrow but in the end they got it done and it all worked out. I have a distinct feeling my visa card would beg to differ on the 'it all worked out well' statement though! Just don't go there, I can't bear to think!

So I'm at work for the next five days, well if I'm lucky I may get Saturday off but that remains to be seen, so there won't be many merry hours spent here for a few days. Will I cope I wonder? :o)

This next few days are gonna be mad work-wise, Bank holidays for us, are like Christmas is in most areas of retail but in many ways I prefer it like that, there is though somewhere a happy medium!

Some good news. PG's father underwent open heart surgery yesterday to replace a valve. I didn't mention it before out of a kind if superstitious fear of something going wrong, as it is he came though it well and is well on the road to recovery. *Sigh of relief*

So that's it, if you happen to notice me meandering your way in the next few days but saying little it's because I'm shot. I'll be back uttering my normal trivia in a day or two. I'm still confounded by how some of you manage to work full time and blog!

Happy Bank Holiday weekend chaps and chapesses.

Glad your car can now grace your garage again Gemmak. And 5 days at work will fly by before you know it! I'll send positive energy your way, and wait for your return. TTFN

There is an art to working full-time and blogging. It involves access to the Internet @ work! :-) ... inbetween phone calls, of course.

I'm glad your car is doing better and PG's dad is doing so well.

Time to relax and get thru the rest of your week, yes? (er, at least get thru the rest of the week.... beer anyone??)

Ok... the Canadian Girl wants to know what a Bank Holiday is.... to me... it's all the banks have gotten together and have some big shin-dig... but what about the trust companys and the credit unions... when do they get their day in the sun??? Fill me in... on your return... read your story about your cat... loved your story about that cat... that cat reminds me of our cat when we were growing up... except ours was black where yours is white... that cat of ours lived till she was 18...she was crazy... everyone was scared of here. EVERYONE. I am nervous of cats..... they give you that look, and they flick the tip of their tails... and I know inside they are just saying "piss off already and stop looking at me while you are at it".....our cat would lunge at that point. As far as I know we never did anything to her.... she just went that way. See, now we prefer to own 2 german shepherds that can not stand one anothers presents, and can never be together.. because if they do they turn into two alligators locked onto one piece of prey, except they lock onto each other around the throats, then we have to try and pry them apart.... see that's the danger that I am up against... and I am in fear of cats.... right!! Hey... where I work our valve surgery patients are out of hospital in about 5-6-7 days.... speedy recovery for your person. OH, congrats on the "car return"

Deanna: A Bank holiday is like a national holiday, sort like I think you have at Thanksgiving maybe?? I'm not sure of it's history but originally I think all the banks and major institutions were closed on those days, along with most other businesses. Nowadays many still close for a days holiday but it's mostly office based jobs etc..........retail certainly doesn't close now! :o/

An internet connection at work?? I wish hehe.
